Good Questions Deserve Good Answers
There are so many "Nondenominational" churches popping up here and there, and they don't always believe the same things. Yes, we all believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the only way to Heaven. However, each nondenominational church has roots that tie to one (or a few) denomination(s). Our beliefs and teachings may be no less valid than that of our counterparts, but we have simply chosen not to join an organization.
How did Way of Life begin?Way of Life Worship Center began in the basement of David and Gwen Day in August of 2003 when a few friends got together to start a Bible study. Because there has always been a sincerity, the group grew into a full-fledged ministry; with Sunday School, a worship team and too many people to fit into a basement.

How do you baptize?Pastor Scotty grew up Pentecostal, and honors the baptism in Jesus' name, as in Acts 2:38. However, Jesus himself taught baptism in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). To honor the unity of God, Pastor combines these two Scriptures in baptism.

What kind of music do you play?At Way of Life we have a full worship band complete with drums, keyboard, and guitars. We play modern worship songs mixed with southern Gospel and the occasional hymn. Our goal is to worship the Creator of the music, not the music itself.

What is your belief about the Baptism of the Holy Spirit? When you are here, you may hear some of our congregation speaking in a heavenly language. This is a gift from God that you can have if you choose to receive Him, but not required to be saved. Jesus promised His disciples that a Comforter would come to them (John 14:26, John 16:7), and later Peter announced the promise is for all whom God calls (Acts 2:39).
